Crazy times for sure, but life and death, poverty, and disease, and CANCER waits for no one.

And now, my Dad, is no exception as he was diagnosed with a brain tumor (glioblastoma multiforme or GBM; the most aggressive brain tumor).

He is being treated at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, which is the best place he can be.

Ten years ago as I worked at the Taussig Cancer Center, part of the Translational Hematology & Oncology Research group, it never crossed my mind my Dad would one day be a patient. My first application to the FDA was based on an anti-cancer drug I designed for the treatment of GBM which sadly now sits in a freezer as we ran out of funds to develop it.

Unfortunately, federal funding for cancer research has been on the decline for the past decade, now more than ever we need to support cancer research by taking a stand and funding ourselves, as a society.

For me it's PERSONAL! Semper Fi Marine- YOU WILL BEAT THIS! I Love you Dad!

Please help in this cause by donating to Cleveland Clinic VeloSano!

VeloSano is an inspirational community campaign that goes far beyond a bike ride. 1OO% of all dollars raised by participants directly supports lifesaving cancer research efforts across the entire Cleveland Clinic organization. These dollars are used to discover more about the causes of cancer and develop better ways to treat it, with the ultimate goal of discovering a cure.

I am currently training for VeloSano and you can track my rides on Strava.

On race day, July 18th I will complete a 25-mile ride to earn your donation.

Your donation to me and VeloSano will help me meet my fundraising goal, and together we will make a significant impact improving cancer outcomes through innovative research. YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
